Tasks of Living with Others

In the beginning, sharing living space with strangers was very difficult.  I was fortunate enough to be placed in a suite in North Hall's Special Living Option for Arts and Architecture.  This is a fantastic living option, as I still live with others but have more room for personal space.  This was a big helpful factor in my adjustment.  Over the course of my first couple of weeks at school, I became very good friends with each of my roommates, even though we are all very different girls with different interests from different cities, and in one case even a different state. Living with others has become a great experience and a life lesson.  I have learned about myself, and have also learned how to compromise, how be there for people, how to be a considerate and fun roommate, and how to work well with others.  Living with others has become one of college life's greatest joys.  Also, by living in my suite in North Halls, I have learned total responsibility as I am responsible for myself, my laundry, my food, time management, and other important things.  My roommate and I have helped each other through the semester, and have become extremely close friends.
